Boldmere Junior & Infant School had been experiencing a range of issues with its school cleaning, stemming primarily from poor management by the existing cleaning services provider.

During our initial meetings with the school, we identified the following issues with their cleaning: lack of onsite management or visits, low stock – impacting on cleaning, dated and poor quality equipment, lack of support from management, no guidance into work coverage, holiday and sick cover not fully provided and outstanding pay disputes.

After several meetings, and aligning with the present contractor in place, KWB Corporate Cleaning was successful in adding Boldmere Junior & Infant School to its client list. This included transferring staff on government pensions and with long service terms and conditions intact.

Boldmere has been delighted with the instant results we have delivered. By implementing our managing structure on the operations of a struggling team, we have been able to improve cost and time efficiency, as well as the satisfaction of both staff and client.

From the moment of our instruction, the improvements to school cleaning which we have made include:

  • Weekly visits from management
  • Monthly visits from upper management
  • Supply of chemicals, appropriate for a school, used and kept in a safe manner
  • A bespoke work pattern and specification to suit the needs of the school
  • New, modern, efficient equipment
  • New, modern cleaning techniques
  • Pay dispute settled

Boldmere is an interesting example of our work. KWB Corporate Cleaning has primarily provided better management, equipment and training to an existing staff. The smooth handover to our management team minimised potential disruption to the school and ensured that benefits of our approach could be seen immediately by the client.

Boldmere represents the first of KWB Corporate Cleaning’s instructions from the education sector. Having recognised the need for proper management of the project, we have delivered results that speak for themselves.
